Join Jefke for this SKEIN WORK 3x day workshop.
During your three day workshop, Jefke will take you into the wonderful world of fine skein work.
The focus will be on splitting and planing the willow into long thin strips then these beautiful, perfect skeins will be woven into a coaster.
Jefke is a huge world talent! His interest in weaving was passed on from childhood in the workplace of his mother Jeanny Bouwen, weaving his first basket at the age of 5!
He became interested in fine skein work and between 2019 and 2021, undertook an apprenticeship with master Esmé Hofman.

In 2023 Jefke won the Gran Prix at the world wicker festival in Poland and that same year he and his mother received the Belgian BKRK award for basketry technique and excellent craftsmanship.
