Join one of the most accomplished makers on planet earth who will be gracing our tiny festival in Staffordshire to impart his knowledge. Over the 3 days Daniel will be teaching Square Hampers, offering you a myriad of different weaves and techniques to create your masterpieces

Daniel started weaving at 15yrs old in 1978, then joined the basketry cooperative in Villaines-les-Rochers as a willow grower and basketmaker, a role he held until 2004. From 2004 to 2024 he served as the cooperative’s director. In 1997 he was awarded the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France).
In 2019, he won the basketry competition in Nowy Tomyśl in the traditional basketry category.
