Over the 3 day workshop, Pau will teach the Market basket & Grape basket, both traditional Catalan styles, giving you a choice of make.

Pau Trepat Herranz, born in Lleida, is a 4th generation basketmaker. Basket weaving began with his great-grandfather around 110 years ago, followed by his grandfather and father, and now Pau — they’ve always been dedicated to traditional Catalan basketry: rustic, strong, and unique.

He’s proud to carry on a craft that is free, unique, and independent, and to be able to share knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation.

 

His main focus is demonstrating the craft throughout the country and teaching traditional basketry courses.
